How do I book an appointment?
Bookings are made online. Head to the booking page, choose your service, and pick a time that works. You’ll get a confirmation when you book, and I’ll send the exact studio address closer to your appointment.
How do I pay?
Payment is taken on the day of your appointment, by card via Zeller. You can tap, insert, or use Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Where is the studio?
Birdie is a private home studio in Preston, Melbourne. The exact address is sent to you closer to your appointment. It’s not listed publicly.
Do I need to do anything before my appointment?
Come with clean skin. No heavy makeup on the brow or eye area if you can. If you’re booking a lamination or lash lift for the first time, a patch test is required. Get in touch before you book and I’ll sort it.
What is your cancellation policy?
I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or changes. Last-minute cancellations mean that slot can’t be filled by someone else. I appreciate you keeping that in mind.
What is brow lamination?
Brow lamination restructures your brow hairs so they sit up and forward, giving you that fuller, brushed-up look. The solution is applied to soften the hair structure, the hairs are set in place, and the result holds for six to eight weeks.
Will my brows look natural?
That’s always the goal. I work with your natural hair direction and shape, not against it. Lamination looks best when it enhances what’s already there.
How long does brow lamination last?
Six to eight weeks for most people. How well you look after them in the first 48 hours makes a difference. See the aftercare page for details.
Is brow lamination suitable for everyone?
It suits most brow types, but very fine or damaged hair may not respond as well. If you’re unsure, get in touch before booking. I’m happy to give you an honest answer.
What is the difference between a classic and Korean lash lift?
A classic lift curls the lashes from the root, great for most lash types. The Korean method creates a more even curl from root to tip, with a longer-looking finish. It tends to suit finer or straighter lashes particularly well.
Can I wear mascara after a lash lift?
Yes, after 24 hours. Avoid waterproof formulas. They’re harder to remove and can be rough on lifted lashes. Most people find they don’t need mascara at all after a lift.
How long does a lash lift last?
Six to eight weeks, depending on your natural lash cycle and how well you follow the aftercare. Keeping lashes dry for the first 24 hours is the most important thing.
Is it really a home studio?
Yes, and deliberately so. There’s no waiting room, no front desk, no one else coming in and out. You come straight in, settle into the chair, and that’s the appointment. It’s a lot calmer than a salon.
Will anyone else be there?
No. Birdie is a solo operation. Your appointment is yours. No other clients, no background noise, my full attention on you.
Is there parking?
Yes, street parking is available. I’ll include parking details with your address.
